Sourced from Wazuka, Japan, an area renowned for tea cultivation, LAKA works with Japanese tea farmers using traditional growing practices to create a reserve blend that changes with the harvest. The tea plants are shade-grown before harvesting, an important part of traditional matcha production that contributes to matcha's naturally occurring L-theanine, chlorophyll and catechins such as EGCG.

Unlike sweetened matcha powders and instant drink mixes, LAKA Reserve contains pure Japanese matcha with no fillers or additives. The result is a vibrant green matcha with a smooth, naturally sweet flavor designed to be enjoyed simply with water or as the foundation of a matcha latte.

Matcha naturally provides both caffeine and L-theanine, making it a popular alternative to coffee for morning routines, workdays and pre-training rituals.

Available in 30 g and 100 g sizes, LAKA estimates approximately 15 servings from the smaller size and 50 servings from the larger size. Every batch is also third-party tested for heavy metals and pesticides as part of LAKA's quality-control process.

How to Use

Sift 1–3 g of matcha into a bowl using a fine mesh strainer.

Add approximately 3 oz of hot water at 175°F and whisk in a quick zig-zag motion until smooth and lightly frothy. Add additional water, ice or your preferred milk depending on how you'd like to enjoy it.

For the best flavor, avoid boiling water. LAKA recommends storing the matcha in the refrigerator, allowing it to come toward room temperature before preparation, and consuming it within approximately 30 days of opening for optimal freshness.

If you're sensitive to caffeine, consider beginning with a smaller serving.
